De Bruyne?

He has been a crucial part of our success though. He has scored important goals, one being in the FA Cup final, 2 against Newcastle in the 2nd to last game of season, 1 in the Carling Cup against Sunderland and not to forget all the other important goals in Pellegrinis first season in charge. He may lack the work ethic of a Milner or a Zabaleta, but the quality he possesses should never be underestimated by our fans. He is one of the best players to ever represent this football club and will go down as one of the greats. Whether you say we might have been just as good with someone else in midfield, we can't exactly prove that, but all I know is that his goals played a massive part in us winning the trophies we did. When Yaya is at full flow, there are very few midfielders in the world I would take over him. Just imagine our midfield without him right now, it's not worth thinking about.

Imagine our goalkeeping situation without Hart? If we sold him, would we stick with Caballero or do you think we'd buy a good number 1?

Yes Yaya scored important goals, but many others could have scored them. That's not to diminish Yaya, but it's ridiculous to pick out a single goal and say we only won it because he scored.

Is this a new thing or is having a bid rejected now a terrible terrible thing?

What are we afraid of? Oh no what will the papers say? They will slag us anyway.

KDB and Wolsburg should realise its just business rather than worrying what the fans think. Once he has gone, and Wolfsburg have bought a replacement, everyone moves on.

Thankfully AC Milan missed out on £100 million because of the same nonsensical argument.

Ric: It looks like he will end up at City but what makes you very confident? "Stalemate" is not that optimistic in my opinion.

I think its more to do with professional shuffling and playing a little bit of football PR (avoiding to piss of fans especially) in order to manage a smooth transition to us as opposed to the way Sterling arrived. Its the way I'm Kevin and his agent want it as well...

17/20 to join city with unibet and 2/1 to stay at wolfsburg with sky.

So £100 on him to join us would give a profit of £85.
£55 on him to stay at wolfsburg with sky gives £110 profit.

Meaning all in all you'd come out £30 up if he joins City and still £10 up if he stay at wolfsburg.

(and of course, lose £155 if he joined bayern)

Ridiculous he won't put any pressure on the move just because he doesn't want to upset the Wolfsburg fans. Can't believe any deal would fall through because of that, if the player wants to move.

I'm convinced this will still happen.

It will happen. But what's being expressed here is the desire to want to do it smoothly without loss of bonus money...

I recognise that.

What I'm saying, is it cannot get to the point where, because he doesn't want to lose his bonus money, and respect of the fans, KDB doesn't push the move through as needed. That would be a ridiculous situation.

Wolfsburg have effectively said, if he asks for the move, he can move. As Ric said the other day, we are at the point of stalemate. As I said, I'm convinced it will happen - I just find it an odd situation to still be in, if we have been working on the move for months.

Anyway - let's just wait and see, I suppose.

I reckon we'll have to bid before we expect KDB to force a move. If we put all the onus on him to force an exit he could well stay.

Same goes, but moreso for Pogba.

100% agree. Worrying about papers or fans is weak ( and generally a pretence anyway).
