Not just all football forums but all forums full stop. They are predominantly a platform for the daft to opine about stuff they have a very limited understanding of.

Having said that, there's an insecurity and paranoia unique to City, which comes from 30 years in United's shadow.

There seems to be a lot more pessimism about than what I can remember of the last few summers. I can only guess it's down to our poor performances last year.
I'm extremely optimistic about the up coming season. I don't see how it's possible not to be.
