De Bruyne?

Or the rest of us will have to suffer further embarrassment reading the depths some of you will sink to ?

nobody is sinking to any depths mate...just the longer this goes on, the more rumours take hold....most would agree this window is turning into a very frustrating time...it would be good to get our business done and get back to football....think we all want that, right?

People forget that both Bony and Dzeko came in january. Bony played less minutes than Edin when u compare their first half season. Edin had a FA Cup run, Bony didn't. Dzeko had a couple of Europa League legs, Bony some sub apps against a great Barca side who put us to the sword. In the league Bony came back from AFCON, had problems with minor injuries. Dzeko was healthy and available every game. The point is even though Bony had less time to prove himself he scored the same amount in the league as Edin did when he first came. 2 goals. If memory serves me right, both edin and wilf also have 2 goals each after wilf signed.

Edin will be remembered as a inconsistent, sometimes frustrating player who went on vital goal streaks at the right moments for us, but he didnt really fit our style of play. I can see Wilf being a more consistent performer for us, with better technique and hold up play, and a style that fits the players around him more.

Garcia is more like fabregas and de Bruyne is more like Milner
I see them both as creative, direct players that like to do their work centrally, either being deployed there from the start or cutting in from the wing. Maybe I havent watched KdB enough

I agree mate....lots of different rumours going round...I think someone even mentioned in one of the threads that one of his agents had been looking at properties in Hale the weekend Wolfsburg were in London? This is what happens what deals drag on this long.....we just need to get this sorted now....
Aah hoo Wolfsburg in London...

To be fair Kneville, we've moved at a slow pace this summer, Wolfsburg aren't in a position to sell, but it's a week before the season starts and we haven't even put a bid in. It's worth an extra few million alone to get them in and bedded early. So far we're not stronger than we were last year.

He was right though, we will see how well Bony performs (since we bought him has showed nothing for example). Hopefully he bangs zillion of goals and help us win league, but proclaiming he is better than Edin, what many on here do, is laughable. Also I hope you will post as long post when someone says Dzeko was crap and Bony is much better in every way, without actually having showed anything. Hating Edin is deemed fine it seems here after what he has done for us, bunch of hypocrites on this forum,
I think you miss the point. Dzeko has been brilliant for us. He did what was required of him in his time with us, but regardless of that Dzeko is 4/5 years older and we have progressed as a team and a club. I think most City fans recognise this. Time waits for no man and we have to move on. Therefore it would be ludicrous to be comparing every future striker that we may bring in, to Dzeko. Sure, some of them will be better than him, just as there will be some worse. It is not a case of who is a better player but who can do the best job for us going forward. The powers that be clearly feel that now is the time to replace Dzeko for business and/or tactical reasons. We have to respect that. Bony is a player in his own right and he should be judged on his own contribution not incessantly compared to anything Dzeko may or may not have achieved.
For the record I will say that I, along with many other City fans have adored Edin and we thank him for his contribution while he has been with us but now would seem the right time for him to go. That doesn't mean to say we hate him or that we denigrate his achievements with City, just that it is time to for us all to move on.

We are not stronger than we were last year.

Stuff like this makes me fucking despair of what City is turning into.

Well lets face it,both have had a full pre season and everything went very quiet on Pogba weeks ago and now KDB chat has gone very quiet. Both players pre season is over and its city live on wed and i beleive city are now showing it live on line.........What are the chances??

Explain how at this point were better off? Delph isn't as good as Lampard or Milner, and as brilliant as Sterling is, we've lost Jovetic and Dzeko too. We're a week to go until the season starts and we're ill prepared. We've been after De Bruyne since Christmas, and whilst I expected the deal to take a while, I expected some movement by now, this is why you pay DOF six figure sums.it's not unreasonable for City fans to question the lack of movement.
