He's third choice. He won't play loads, but he'll be a regular on the bench and I'm sure he'll get half a dozen starts minimum.

It's pre-season and what other option did we have? Aguero wasn't there and neither was Bony for the majority of it. Dzeko and Jovetic were in negotiations to move away. I hope he does play because he's a talent, but Pellers hasn't done anything during his reign here to suggest that he is willing to give youth a try, and i doubt he will start doing it when he knows he's a gonner at the end of the season. I'd imagine he will go with his strongest possible line up, and within that line up we need goals, and at the minute we need someone to partner Yaya or cover for Yaya who can put the ball in the back of the net. I'm assuming that's what we saw in Pogba at the start of the window.

Lampard scored 6 league goals in 9 months here, that's exactly twice the amount Delph scored in his entire time at Villa.

They're different players of course, with different strengths and weaknesses, but I don't understand why you'd have you denigrate Lampard to elevate Delph. Lampard certainly did his bit last season, he played a reasonably important role in the squad.

One has left the club, one has come in, and questions were raised about how good City's buys are.

Not quite mate, i stand my original point. We need a central midfielder who carries a goal threat much like Lampard did. And i don't think Nacho will play anywhere near as much as some seem to think he will this season.
