De Bruyne?

It's a 1 out 1 in policy. Dzeko was on a big contract so there's negogiations to be concluded. All's good though. Then we will move formally for KdB.

Mate we already have a foreign spot free with Jovetic gone to Inter....kdb will take his place while pogba(if come) will take dzeko place

Tbh I don't post much in the transfer forum. I'm more of a lurker. However, I've just read Wolfsburg will let City talk to De Bruyne if City offer/meet his £50mill buyout clause. Like many reports/stories in the footballing press, that could be a load of........, but let's go with it on this occasion.

My questions are these, amongst many.

A. Is De Bruyne the type and quality of player who will take the team(and the club) to the next level, where both can compete for the PL title and the CL trophy on a continual basis for years to come?

B. At £50mill-€70mill, is De Bruyne worth that much money considering his professional career so far, which amounts to 1 good season in the Bundesliga(I stand corrected on that), his future potential, his age, etc?

PS. I'm not flapping. :-)

Delph has scored 3 goals in 107 games for Villa and Dinho has averaged about 4.5 a season over the last 5 years. Yaya is 32 and his tally halved last season. I do think Toure will do better this season but I still think we need another option in there. Last season we had Lampard and we also had Milner as an option, if we ever needed it. I just think it's an area of the pitch that requires our attention slightly more than a wide forward. As is left back. We can't realistically go into a season playing 4-3-3 only having 4 top flight proven central midfielders - bearing in mind Fernando is one of them and doesn't appear to be so impressive.

Fernandinho scored once in every 5 games for Shakhtar, he's definitely capable of providing some goals.

Also Fernando has been perfectly good in preseason, as he was last year before his injury.

Great questions, as an American and 5 year supporter id like a few responses from the more knowledgeable supporters...

Personally I'd rather throw those funds into the pogba bag but I don't think it works that way... No winding up here...am I wrong??

I had a dream last night that he rejected us and said he wanted to stay at Wolfsburg ... Not saying I'm ITK, but the spirits have spoken!!!

We can afford both and hopefully that's the plan.

Are we gonna spend the 200m I heard about or not?

Just gonna throw it out there. I chose city at random a while back and 'got lucky'.

We are a buying club.....I'm lucky to support city......I'm not gonna feel bad anymore. Just get it done FFS...who are we bluffing? Sure as shit wasn't LFC.

Hasent this been our jewel all along? Do these big transfers ALWAYS need to go to the wire? Was I stupid for thinking we have (had) a chance at Pogba?

Pretty sure Manc are the villains now. Just embrace it. Pretty sure were the bad guys in America.....

I'll have you know the raiders are one of the most loved clubs here and they are the bad guys too
/drunk rant

Nothing wrong with a drunk rant, I've had more than my fair share, no idea what the clubs planning but this is City, we don't do plain sailing :)
