Bernard was one of the hottest young prosepcts in the world at one point, what's happened to him? not heard his name for ages!

Would this have any impact on De Bruyne talks as both are Midfielder/Forward type players for that team?...could this also mean Inter not going after Jovetic?

DiMarzio: Inter Milan have agreed an €18m fee with Wolfsburg to sign Ivan Perisic. #WOB
Well, thats bad news today...

PS: Never head of him, and he has some good stats as a winger.... (68 games, 17 goals)

As always, germans making very good piece of business with East Europe (mostly Croatia and Serbia ) football players...

Today I see on kicker.de that Wolfsburgs chairman Garcia Sanz and his deputy Grühsem yesterday went to Wolfsburgs training camp, as mentioned by oleole123. According to Kicker, Sanz made the the following statements to the press: "We are not selling any one", "The player must want to stay", "At the moment we are not worrying about that". Interestingly this is almost exactly the same wording as Allofs and Hecking have been using in the past. Make of it what you want. The conspiracy theory about a secret deal between Wolfsburg and Bayern München is hard to see there in my humble opinion. To me it rather sounds like De Bruyne can be sold provided he wants it himself, and provided the money is right. I'd say the poker game is ongoing.
For what its worth I think Perisic and De Bryune are completely independent of each other. I don't believe there is any causal connection between a sale of Perisic and a sale of De Bruyne.

As much as Wolfsburg want to continue to improve, they've got a good track record with bringing talent through, or signing cheaper options from Eastern Europe that then come good. It's most definitely down to the player. If their improved contract doesn't meet De Bruyne's wishes he'll be open to leaving. Where I think things might be trickier than with Pogba, is that he doesn't appear to be wholly money orientated. He's spent time on the bench at Chelsea and may be willing to stay on lower wages for another year of first team football and a season in the CL.

City are very good at showing players "the dream" though, and giving them the confidence that if they sign for us, they'll play football and they'll win trophies.

Perisic has been wanting to leave for a long time now, it really shouldn't have any effect on De Bruyne as they've known that they've had to look for a replacement for Perisic for a while now.
