Do we actually need this guy when we have Sterling, Navas, Silva, Nasri and Roberts??
Yes we need him. If Navas would be a GOLF GTI, De Bruyne would be a Lamborghini Aventador

does anybody consider as I haven't read 700+ posts that the dropping off in the transfer market could be down to a done deal to bring PEP in next season therefore so Txiki can get his mate in its ok to tread water this season
If Pep was definitely coming in next year, we wouldn't risk not winning the league, and slipping up by finishing 4th/5th by not signing players and treading water for a year - but maybe (and I doubt it, but maybe) he's said he doesn't like KDB, and that's why Bayern haven't gone for him, and maybe he's had a look at a list of other players we're after and OK'd them instead so we've moved on?

Yes.
Sterling will play a very different role in the team to any role DE Bruyne would fill. Roberts is "one for the future" so wouldn't have any bearing on this. So, really it's just Navas, Nasri and Silva we're talking about here. Navas too, is more of a winger than De Bruyne, Nasri is inconsistent, and Silva is awesome. However it's also worth noting that we need to freshen up in that area of the pitch as our options are getting older, Nasri has just turned 28, Navas will be 30 in November and Silva 30 in January, De Bruyne has only just turned 24.

That would be idiotic. Almost everything points to KDB being a better buy than Pogba.Kevin De Bruyne :

The fact that he thinks 'England is a good choice for his family, and that his family is priority for him.' This surely is a big positive.
As long as we offer a good value to Wolfsburg, there's no reason why this should not go through. Unless we plan on limiting KDB's deal to upto £40m and using the rest on Pogba.

Can anyone think of any actual real reason why we've not bid yet? Baffled tbh.
Maybe we are negotiating with Wolfsburg to set a figure, & unlike Liverpool, they don't brief the press on every discussion.

KDB is all end product. Navas and Nasri aren't.

If we get him, I really hope it spells the end for Navas.
Maybe a choice of Pogba or De Bruyne and City don't want to commit to De Bruyne whilst Pogba bid remains live. The deals are very expensive so maybe there is a limit to the amount City can spend so it has to be one player or the otherCan anyone think of any actual real reason why we've not bid yet?
