De Bruyne?

wonder if a bid gone in yet?
I'm hoping this late in the process there is no bid, Wolfsburg say what they want and we agree to it. Wouldn't waste time coming in with a bid 10m lower than their asking price. Same thing will happen with Sterling, except he'll miss the first few games to save 50p

No question now ED expected to be confirmed in Rome tmro that we will sign a striker as well as a defender and an AMF.

Probably £75m for all three tops.

We have Aguero, bony, Iheanacho, sterling and at a push Silva who can operate up top. We could even just play without a striker as we're hardly gonna be playing lump ball are we?

No. We rely on corners for so much of our offense. There's no way we'll go without a pure target in the box.

Wtf has that got to do with any potential signing?, hope you're right but think you're a million miles off.
Pipe down. It was just a maybe no need for the aggressive response. As for my quote it was that maybe the club were planning on unveiling a signing to its fans only before any of the gutter press got there chance to jump on it. Can't see it happening but it was just a thought with the event being shown live for the first time.

Don't know where people are getting this idea of buying a new striker. It's pretty clear Pellegrini is switching to a formation with 1 up top. So Aguero and Bony + Nacho should have it covered. You don't see other clubs playing with 1 up top with better options.

The seasons before last we scored the most goals in the league from corners, 13

Agree on last year, however, not actually correct!!!!

Whilst I like an old fashioned cross and finish I just don't think it's the way we play the game. If you look at the stats for goals (not just for City but around the different top leagues) you'll see that corners produce very limited chances let alone goals. Seems that we only remember when they work.

We've got Kompany, Mangala and Yaya for corners anyway. De Bruyne will have a field day picking out these guys in the middle and of course Bony when he plays too.

This is not really true, especially if you iclude balls delivered from free kicks etc.

If you compare City to winning the league & Utd winning the league a few years back, the difference can be almost counted in who has the best corners etc. Have a look at how many times Chelsea either equalise or go into the lead from a corner.

If we had done corners etc as well last season, as we did the previous one, there is a decent chance we would now be champions.

I agree, nothing sexy about a goal from a corner, was just pointing out that actually, the title winning season, we were the best in the league at it..

Telegraph: Pellegrini will use 18-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho and Sterling as cover for Aguero and Bony in the striker role this season.
