I was told that the final fee was actually £44m including add-ons, not the £49m reported. No idea if it's true or not, are these figures made public when the accounts are released?

My point was, if a selling club is adamant that it will not sell below a certain price regardless of the consequences,there is nothing Txixi or any other negotiator can do about it apart from cough up or walk away.

It's getting a bit boring all these people coming on and giving Txixi a good bashing without thinking through his realistic options.
