Yeah i couldn't give a flying fuck about a clean sheet when we smashing the shit out of everyone

Just out of interest. Would you prefer a 4-0 or a 5-1 win?

5-1

Obviously 5-1, not only for entertainment but Goals scored are valued more than goals conceded if it came to an equal goal difference

Didn't watch the game as i was at a concert, but how did he do?

Is heback to his usual self or is he still lacking fitness?
Confirmed why i think he is an essential part of our team. I absolutely love de Jong. He had 99.01% pass success rate and i may be mistaken here but from what i saw he had a 100% tackle success rate!

i watched a different game to you last night then
same game, different perspective.

I think it was Nasri last night who had a discussion with Yaya because he wanted the ball straight away and Yaya took two touches, slowing the attack down.
I havent claimed Yaya is detrimental to our attack, Ive claimed he has the same effect as De Jong when it comes to passing (not driving runs etc). I dont think De Jong is detrimental to our attacking play thats what Im claiming.

Funny that because in the 2nd half Yaya made a cutting run through their defence and Nasri took too long and played it down the line. Yaya was flagged offside and bollocked Nasri for not putting him through

Let's not pretend Yaya is detrminetal to our attacks here because he's one of our biggest atatcking assests - bursting runs, great shooting, excellent intricate passing in tight areas round the box and can beat a man. A lot of our attacks this season have started with a precise pass from Yaya through the opposition midfield into Dave or Kun or whoever else in space between the opposition midfield and back four this season. The point being made here is that de Jong IS detrimental to our attacks

Re: De Jong last night..

I HATE it when we concede goals and you can just tell Mancini (and Hart) are the same, it is Mancini's Italian mentality spreading throughout the team where it is shameful to concede a goal. That's why I'm in the "4-0 rather than 5-1" camp. BTW in De Jong's three starts we've scored 12 goals, he is not hindering us at all because him sitting deep just means Yaya can go further forward and do what he did last night giving us an extra attacking player to compensate for De Jong's lack of attacking.

I couldn't believe my eyes last night. I actually witnessed David Silva giving the ball away three times last night before we scored our first goal.

I dont think anyone can criticise De Jong for slowing our fluidity and play, and then praise Yaya for it.

Yaya slows it down just as much, but both played excellent last night

Its because Yaya goes forwards with the ball. De Jo0ng goes backwards even when he is clear 10 yards each way
de Jong goes forward a hell of a lot more than he gets credit for. Xavi Hernandez is always passing backwards and sideways.

I would rather watch the fluid fantasy football we have been playing this season whilst concedeing the odd goal, than last seasons style of play. What does it matter if you concede 1 but score SIX.

4-0.

He had poor passing starts to his games against Villarreal at home, Wolves at home and Villarreal away. It's just a minor blip though!

Can't disagree with any of that.
