De Jong to rags?

Happy for him to go there if he wants, they could end up with a younger, faster version of him otherwise.
Just don't give us the "dream move, little boy" bollocks or we'll fall out.

On the plus side if they get De Jong then I cannot see them signing Vidal aswell.

There is no way they will sign 3 midfielders in one summer.

Agree with that.

Definitely, we have to be practical, they could end up with much better players than Nigel

I just wrote a blog about this possible move and what it means for football in Manchester. This was the main crux of it:

"Despite De Jong's popularity, the news of his potential transfer to United has been greeted with a fairly muted reaction by City fans. There is a general feeling that De Jong would no longer be good enough for our first team due to the formidable partnership of Yaya Toure and Fernandinho.

However, it also brings a wry smile to think that our once illustrious neighbours are having to sign a player that made just 11 league starts during his final season with us. Not only that, but De Jong would improve United's team immeasurably which shows just how poor their squad currently is."

Full blog is here if anybody fancies a read - <a class="postlink" href="http://filmsandfootball.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/football-nigel-de-jongs-transfer-to.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://filmsandfootball.blogspot.co.uk/ ... er-to.html</a>

I'd still give the bloke a clap on derby day, however I'd feel sick seeing him wearing that shit.
