De Jong to rags?

They could sign players a lot better than De Jong. I'm not bothered if he goes there. De Jong has no attachment to City and I have no attachment to him. Do you not remember when he signed he said we were "a stepping stone" in his career? If that stepping stone is to join our inferior neighbours, I'd say we had the last laugh.

However, it also brings a wry smile to think that our once illustrious neighbours are having to sign a player that made just 11 league starts during his final season with us. Not only that, but De Jong would improve United's team immeasurably which shows just how poor their squad currently is."

Summed up nicely.

Sentimentally, I'd hate to see it.

Logically, if they sign De Jong it surely means they aren't signing the hugely superior Strootman or Vidal any time soon.

Fernando >>>>> De Jong

absolutely spot on. We outgrew De Jong's ability and contribution to the team 3 years ago, he dropped down a level signing for AC Milan who are now the Italian equivalent of the rags....league also rans

I couldn't care less where he rocks up,although highly passionate and professional,he strikes me as a businessman first and a footballer second as i get the impression those qualities are motivated by money than anything else.

As already stated,he served us well but we outgrew DJ and neither party owes the other anything...... so best of luck to the lad but I cant wait to see Fernando show him why he is now only capable of playing in one half of Greater Manchester.

De Jong is just a thug who'd be a liability.
Not good enough for us but probably just up the scum's street.

Nige was a top player for us, always gave his all. Please don`t be so stupid as to label him as a thug. He is doing OK in the World cup, playing better than slippy g and Henderson did. As a player who anchors the midfield and protects the back four he is still top drawer. He deserves more respect than he is getting on this forum.

Would absolutely brake my heart to see Nige pull on that red filth, he's a blue!

THIS!! All fucking day! I love Nige. Still!!! He's a blue not a rag. I'd have to hate him if he went there
