De Jong was unsung today... hand this man a contract

De Jongs contribution to the team morale and team spirit should not underestimated, coupled with his on the field contribution he will be very hard to replace. Subsequently I think we should do all we can to encourage him to stay.

So should we cave in to his apparently exorbitant wage demands that he has failed to lower for over a year now? I love Nige but we have to take a stand on wages or every fringe player will end up earning over £100k/week. I have no idea what City have offered him but I doubt it's a pittance and it apparently isn't enough for him... so now is the time to sell or else we lose him for nothing next year and in the age of Platini Fair Play every penny we make is valuable.

Just wondering, and not saying you are wrong: but how do you know what Nigel does for team spirit and morale?

They have shifted most of their top earners plus they are looking to offload Cesar so they could possibly meet Nige's demands.
 
One of my family is employed in the inner sanctum of the club, this does not mean I know anything about transfers.

If we sell him and we haven't made a signing by the time is done u have to assume something is in the works
