So what was the basic gist of the thread? I only got as far as page one before it very politely told me that the thread I was reading "does not exist".

All in all there must have been 1000's of posts, we had to keep splitting the topic because it was slowing the forum down, and it all started with one tweet from a Sky Journalist, saying his agent was in Manchester,, hat was it, blue touch paper lit!
And quite an illuminating episode it was to, all the pretend ITK's on Twitter (we all know who they are) were claiming done deal, you know the script, papers made up stories, and all we can glean is that we made an enquiry to Rome and the player

Basically the press conference was a smokescreen and that we are actually going to sign him before the window closes.
It was all good stuff with plenty of itk's airing their views.

but really was nothing new, except posters wanting to believe he hasn't said an outright no to city
