Get in!

So hope he comes!

I know this has dragged on and on and on but I would still be absolutely buzzing if we signed DDR.

The guy is an outstanding and highly experienced player and would walk into our best 11.

I'd sell Balotelli and use the cash to get the lad.

I hope not. He's older and would cost A LOT more than Benat both in transfer value and in wages. Benat and Isco are the way forward, this ship has (hopefully) sailed!
He also can pretty much do everything Benat does but can defend like a terrier as well.

That's what makes De Rossi so special, because there are few players with the complete package.

I'd sign this guy at his age now before Benat (and I rate Benat highly). Either would improve us.

If we do sign him (or any other top midfielder), Rodwell is fooked at least as long as Barry can function at this level. The pecking order in midfield will probably go:

1. Yaya
2. De Rossi
3. Barry
4. Garcia
5. Milner
6. Rodwell
7. Razak

Can only see loan moves for Rodwell in the future if we add more midfielders.

I have a feeling this will be Milners last season, simply because of lack of game time.

I think Barry will stay on for one more season then will be sold, If we get De Rossi I think we will see him more of a sub next season.

I've said it before but I think Milner will be a QPR player next season. Perhaps even on January if the fee is right.

Im pretty sure Milner didnt play for a bit because of injury. I think playing 90 mins against Chelsea speaks volumes
As for the QPR thing what the actual fuck are you people smoking!
DDR not coming ever

Where the fuck do you get this stuff from? Sell Milner in his prime (he's 26) and has 4/5 top years left in him?

And if you were Milner, an England regular, you'd be happy to go to QPR? There wouldn't be a host of premier league and european teams in for him?

Think before you speak son.

Taken from the OS 'What the papers say' section:

Another player who is no stranger to transfer rumours involving City is Italy’s Daniele de Rossi who is yet again being linked with a move.

The latest ‘twist’ in this Homerian Odyssey is the Daily Star’s insistence that De Rossi was in the stands at Stamford Bridge for City’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Sunday.

“Manchester City are closing in on £25m Italian World Cup winner Daniele de Rossi,” Scott Coleman writes.

“Roma midfielder De Rossi was a surprise guest at City’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday with his partner Sarah.

“And Starsport understands the 29-year-old held talks with the club about a January transfer.”

Ties in well with the recent rumour that he stayed in London and had a pint with Bob after the game.

Here we go again ladies n gents.................

Someone would've taken a picture.

Pardon my scepticism but it is indeed strange in this age of social media, that not one photo has surfaced to demonstrate that he actually was at the Chelsea game.

Seems wasteful in the current climate. Wouldn't want to see Milner to go either - very useful, reliable player. Obviously I'd take de Rossi over him in central midfield, but £25 mill and god knows what on wages for a 29 year old? Maybe if we hadn't signed garcia

Fee and wage could be covered by selling Balotelli.
