Savic-age, I call him Savage at the match and every fan I have spoken to is worried about him. We cant all be wrong. He was a bad buy, he cant adapt to league and should be loaned out with view to sale back in Italy or sold as long as we get half decent money back for him. Every second he is at the club is a second to long. Woeful player whom steals a living here. Would sooner put De Jong at CB than start him.

I'm surprised that Savic hasn't improved till now, considering that he is training with Kompany and Lescott..surely he must have learned something from them?
I think Rekik would have done much better if he were given the same amount of chances Savic got..

at least if we were to get De Rossi, we wouldn't have to worry so much about getting an extra CB, as DDR, Rodwell and Richards could take turns filling in if Kompany or Lescott were to get injured..

I dont get why we let Boateng go and bought Savic, that's like letting Silva go to buy Henderson.

You overrate Boateng. There's no doubting how crap Savic is, but Boateng certainly isn't as good as people make him out to be.

He is a country distance ahead of Savic. Savic is a very poor player unfortunately.

I never once said Boateng was a world beater but if he starts fro Germany and for Bayern he cannot be that bad.

Letting him go to sign Cahill makes sense, to replace with Savic doesn't. That's my point. Manicni has been good with players but he fucked up with Savic, just grateful it wasn't a £10m+ signing with wages of £100k+pw.

I'd offer him on loan to a club in Italy with view to buy (app clause).<br /><br />-- Thu Aug 16, 2012 1:52 pm --<br /><br />

I agree.

You can bring on a good player, you cannot bring on a bad player. He is our Bebe, and I say that with a grimace.

If De Jong did move the other way, Roma might be able to pay him what he wants as De Rossi is on an absolute fortune there, probably not far behind our highest earners and Nige would ask much less than that.

Been scouring around for any more news, this says we've prepared a "breathtaking offer" and claims (I think) it comes from Gazzetta dello Sport: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.unonotizie.it/18600-calciomercato-roma-manchester-city-proposta-mozzafiato-per-de-rossi-calciomercato-ultime-news-roma.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.unonotizie.it/18600-calciome ... s-roma.php</a>

"Bomb scare" Savic should be sold immediately. For some reason bobby rates him ahead of kolo and Boyata. I think Boyata deserves his chance if not then sell. We can't loan players out forever.

The fact we have gone quite and the fact we hardly went for Martinez would back this claim.

I'm starting to gain confidence.

Boateng is better than Savic...

35 million. Wow

Euros though, that would be £27million or so which is worth it IMO. It wouldn't be an investment with re-sale value but would strengthen us here and now.
