Here's the actual quote from Angelo Mangiante

' The possibility that De Rossi leaves Roma are zero. I repeat zero. I do not want him, I want him now. Mancini may resign.'

This is actually encouraging because he sounds angry, a guy whose passions are running so high that he refuses to believe that De Rossi could leave... ala Arsenal fans with van Persie before recently.

To back it up he is a Roman and Roma fan: <a class="postlink" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_Mangiante" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_Mangiante</a>
What does the last part mean, is he talking to himself?
Sounds like the ramblings of a mental patient to me.

Translated it might be like saying "He can't leave" as if you were asking "How could this happen". As for the "I do not want him, I want him now, Manicini may resign" part, he might be trying to reference that City has some sort of "flighty" decision making process and we can't make up our minds. That's what I am getting out of it. That possible our club is not "stable". Take this all with a grain of salt. I only lived there for a year and their language has many nuances.

what are the odds on him joining us?

Try and keep an open mind on this one. We have already had a run in with an Italian club fan favourite with Kaka.
i know what you are saying but normally keep an eye on oddschecker for prices but unable to find any odds for him

I am unsure as I don't bet, but can you create a bet for this?

Ric sign him up, will fit right in on here

40m bid, 250K per week should be enough, as high profile as RVP, Yaya & Tevez, we get Ade of the books that frees up 170K per week. At one time we were bidding 100m for Kaka, not saying that should happen in this deal but if there is one player who can cover when Yaya is away and propel us forward in CL this is the player. These opportunities don't come round that often. Just get the cheque book out and make an old man (me ) very happy.

sky sport italy saying the trouble is all inside City , Roma is willing to sell (at the right price) but there isn't ATM a real offer from City. they says sunday there will be a City's board of directors where a decision if make or not the offert will have to be taken

Is Gab Marcotti a rag?

Gabriele Marcotti ‏@Marcotti
@RorySmithTimes Berti deffo in Manchester. Given ur last tweet, wd it not be an extraordinary twist if he was meeting with the guys at OT?

I think we can say with 100% certainty now Berti is in Manchester so that's one doubt cast aside at least.

Probably right, First game of the season, Bert, Soriana, Marwood, Khaldoon all at the Eithad, bugger all happening Bert goes to Mass does a bit of praying come 12 noon all done and dusted, match at 4.00pm.

I think everyone is missing the obvious here. It is the same agent that represents Cerci. That guy Mancini has been after for 2 and a half years for some reason.

Was thinking the same after checking on his agent in Transfermarket.

At least it's looking like we do want De Rossi, just a dilemma over the cost.

Doubt it, he would be right in saying it would be an extraordinary twist. I just can't see United buying another 29yo for a huge fee and huge wages

Whoa slow down dude. I have no idea what that even means.

Saw an article maybe on here Roma won't sell to the rags because of the way they got Rossi and Petruci from them.

We probably contacted Roma again to see if they would sell, and they said "for the right price", and now our back room staff is trying to do it's due diligence to get the price as low as possible. I would imagine with as little as we spend this summer, if we want him, we will get him, we are just going to spend time working on getting the price as low as possible. It could go to the last day if it's true.
