Sorry to join this so late and not sure if the right place but don't watch a lot of Italian footballer- what sort of midfielder is he? Who would you compare him to? Cheers!
You kidding right? You dont know anything about De Rossi?

Hes a De jong and pirlo/silva in one

So we look to be going from persuading Roma to sell, then to persuade De Rossi to leave and now for Roma fans to give him their blessing!

Wow!! If City pull this off it has to be one of the best transfers in modern football!

"De Rossi is recognised as a "complete midfielder" by pundits, because of his tackling, passing, strength and shooting. He is a versatile player who can play in defence and in attack.

With Roma he has won the Coppa Italia twice and the 2007 Supercoppa Italiana. He was named Serie A Young Footballer of the Year in 2006 and the Italian Footballer of the Year in 2009."

The new Colin Bell???

seems like a nice bloke

This dedication to his boyhood club of Roma is a little bit worrying.

If we manage to convince him to leave and convince Roma to sell then I wouldn't be surprised if after a season he'd want to go back, or that his emotions would effect his play.

Anyone else think this is a possibility? I don't know much about him as a person as I don't watch much Italian football so perhaps I'm way off the mark.

Why is it only a sub story in that paper. If they were convinced it would be the main story surely.

I was thinking the same mate

It's not good for sales though is it if one of Serie A's biggest players is leaving?
