I feel like im the only City fan who feels this a tansfer we desreve to take stick for if we pay anything like the figures being quoted...

the lowest ive heard was £30million, for a 29 year old ? plus he already earns £180k wages at Roma, he isnt comming for less than £200k ...

I cant be the only person who thinks those figures are stupid...
Lol I love the way the bm amateur accountants come out to play.
It ain't your money so don't worry.
One CL win would pay it back in full an then some.

So you are another that thinks De Rossi will win us the Champs League.

You may decry the amatuer accountants but your inference regarding football smacks of amatuer Football Manager 2012.

He may very well improve us, I do not know enough or have not watched enough of him. However, I do believe that people are going a little over the top. As are many. He is 29, a combative , aggresive midfielder with a good eye for a pass. More importantly IMO he is a one club man for the whole of his career, with family issues in his own country. I do not think that he would necessarily make the huge impact many are expecting.

Having said al that, I dont belive he is City bound.

I think this pic should give you all an answer.

Wave hello or wave goodbye? I'm confused :(

I fear that we are building him up into something that he is not. He has played his whole career for one club and been a star in that team. No doubt he is a very good player by all reports and in many peoples view. However, if the the opinion of many on here is to be believed, then if we sign him we will be guaranteed a domestic treble and the champions league. Think people are going a little overboard imo.

I think the thing that is exiting people is the fact that he is a win at all cost type of player. Pardon my french, but he's a dirty fecker, aggressive, angry, determined bastard.... these are exactly the things that our tippy tappy team need... and he can 'play' too.

His 'type' is our missing link.

We've got no devil in us.

He's it!

I'd rather spunk 30mil on De Rossi than Van Persi!

That is my fear really. A poor mans roy keane. Actually a rich mans poor mans roy keane.

That's a matter of opinion then. Myself, I consider his age and the price tag and wonder......,

but at the end of the day, if we can afford it (and fits in with ffp bla bla bla...) why not?!

You may not agree, and that is the beauty of supporting a team, but I'm sick of us having a soft centre!

We've got Nige and Zabba, who have that bit of (for the want of another word) dirtyness that we need.

De Rossi is perfect for us! (cost, age, not an issue imo!!)

I think the fuck off big grin on his face says it all. He was never coming here in the first place as great a signing as he would be.

Also seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriously stressed about Sergio's injury - can we not get Cavani no matter what the cost?

Are you glutten for punishment? Another highly emotional club whose owner doesn't like us much.

What's your question? Does he improve our chances in the CL? Errm yes.

Don't care about the rest and of the club are happy to pay then we shouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the feedback though.

I dont disagree mate. If is as good as people say then lets go for it.

I have my reservations but I suppose if it is sanctioned by Mancini and the club then my opinion counts for little.

One club hero moves to another club at 29 is my main reservation.

If he decides not to come, it will be interesting to see who the club target instead if anyone.

Everyone seems to be secretly talking of big signings yet there no uproar in the press outside DDR.
