Surprised but pleased that our own press has not picked up on this story in any major way. If it does not happen then this could have been used as another stick to beat us with. If it does happen then it shows City now running a tight ship and the British media know fuck all.
They have enough to write at worshipping at the feet of RVP and their club Man Utd, or more accurately the nation's club for armchair supporters and tabloid readers. (They have 660 Million fans yet still can't sell their season tickets and match tickets for their opening game)

However, you would think this ought to be making the back pages by now if there was substance to it?

I really hope none of you are pinning any genuine hopes of a send off at this friendly. If this happens its going right to the wire or being shot down by DDR.

De Rossi agrees Manchester City terms
12:00 PM 19 August, 2012
Daniele De Rossi has reportedly agreed a move to Manchester City.

Roberto Mancini is a huge admirer of his Italian compatriot, who he placed at the very top of his wanted list ahead of the summer transfer window.

It looked as though a deal for the midfielder was a non-starter, though, especially when the City boss instead spent £12million to lure Jack Rodwell from Everton.

However, Mancini remains interested in De Rossi, and reports in Italy claim the player has agreed terms with the Premier League champions.

The Blues still need to agree a fee with Roma, though, and sources claim the Serie A giants could demand as much as £30million for the 29-year-old ace.
