One other thing is if he is ready to give up his captains arm band, to become one of the guys. At City Kompany, Hart, and Yaya are the leaders of the team. At Roma he is the final voice in club house.

He is their vice captain, Totti has got that until he retires. If he does join who knows.

Right, I like to stay optimistic before anyone batters me for this...

Is it me or does it look like the De Rossi move is coming to fruition almost. A lot of reports are coming from Italy that he's agreed terms with us and Roma just need to accept our fee. It seems to me the pace is picking rather rapid.

This is a lot different to Hazard and Van rapist because there are no other clubs we are competing against. Its just us vs Roma and their fans.

So am I wrong to optimistic and or does it look realistic with all the ITKs now starting to claim this is almost done (they remember the BM forum is dangerous place these days for ppl who are WUM).

I am trying to keep an open mind, but their supporters will have a big say in this.

Roma are run by Americans, if we match their estimation, I dont think even there fans, will have a say. I dont think the Americans are bothered about being un popular.
Its all about the money.

Yep sorry. I keep thinking Totti has retired. :)

The well-known journalist and expert market Alfredo Pedulla spoke through her official blog to discuss the story-De Rossi Manchester City. Here is the opinion of the journalist Sportitalia: "The offer is there, the Roma continue to deny it. But the Manchester City went so touching and surpassing 35 million share: With bonus you can still do everything the British did not would have no problems tuning. And the mega engagement that has broken through the wall of the eight million can not leave indifferent the midfielder. De Rossi sent the manager to deal with, Mancini has bombarded with calls, yes there is. With a but, which one? De Rossi wants Roma to decide is, never ask to leave, remain without raising his voice. Exactly as Thiago Silva had left the ball to Milan in the presence of a mega offer Psg. And Rome will soon give an answer final: the fans want De Rossi regardless, it's normal. The club knows that it will arrive as a proposal for a strong midfield, but now close to thirty years. Well, I am the hours of deep reflection. E of decisions. "

No problem, it is DDR's job if he sticks around. I am hoping this will not turn into a Kaka type saga.

No, we're much bigger and more respected than we were then. That was cringe-worthy stuff.

Agreed, I still can't fathom how it was allowed to play out like that, seems like the epitome of everything ADUG would want to avoid. Can only speculate that Cookie at the time, though becoming acclimatised later, was well out of his depth in football.
