The announcer, the dry cleaner, the Roma fans, the Italian newspapers and uncle tom cobbly and all can all say what the fuck they like about this transfer but until either an official statement from either Manchester City or Roma is put out then everything else is just opinions, hopes or bullshit. Right i'm off to get a Pizza from the local takeaway and see what they know about it.

Let us know what they say mate.

Had to order a Napoli Pizza as all the Roma ones were sold out, they did say they'd received an order from the Hilton for a big party coming in around midnight and so they had a big delivery to make. Make of that what you will.

Some players are worth it mate and de Rossi is special.

I fear that we are building him up into something that he is not. He has played his whole career for one club and been a star in that team. No doubt he is a very good player by all reports and in many peoples view. However, if the the opinion of many on here is to be believed, then if we sign him we will be guaranteed a domestic treble and the champions league. Think people are going a little overboard imo.

I think the thing that is exiting people is the fact that he is a win at all cost type of player. Pardon my french, but he's a dirty fecker, aggressive, angry, determined bastard.... these are exactly the things that our tippy tappy team need... and he can 'play' too.

His 'type' is our missing link.

We've got no devil in us.

He's it!

I'd rather spunk 30mil on De Rossi than Van Persi!

Perfect. Thats exactly why Mancini want him. Personality.

And he will say he is Roma through and through and does not want to leave.

or he will blank all questions and get straight on a private jet to manchester

Or, with a small tear drooping from his right eye, he'll announce his leaving. And in tribute to Bob and in true Italian-flavoured attempted English, he'll say "City is the place of my arrival, only theees".
