the lowest ive heard was £30million, for a 29 year old ? plus he already earns £180k wages at Roma, he isnt comming for less than £200k ...

I agree with regards the fee, the only way we should be paying them that much should be if it includes a load of add on'ssuch as cl win etc...

I have to be honest, I haven't seen a huge amount of him but when I have I haven't been over whelmed but I am not a football Manager and Mancini is and he obviously sees something I don't.

I fear that we are building him up into something that he is not. He has played his whole career for one club and been a star in that team. No doubt he is a very good player by all reports and in many peoples view. However, if the the opinion of many on here is to be believed, then if we sign him we will be guaranteed a domestic treble and the champions league. Think people are going a little overboard imo.

Even if you did take the two figures you gave as genuine, both of those players have a resale value. In the case of DeRossi we will be lucky if he is still a first team regular at the end of his contract.

Big fees are great for players like Derossi if he was in his early 20s, but we are just a retirement fund in this case.

Apart from Yaya all them players are to similar, the game today showed how much we need a proper deep lying playmaker. We need De Rossi to go alongside Rodwell/Barry/De Jong and push Yaya up the pitch to get the best out of him.
