City would have pulled out and made it publicly known if they knew De Rossi is staying!
I still don't understand why any player would hold a press conference to announce he is staying. It would be plain stupid.

Seems strange to hold a press conference to say he's staying when he's just signed a new contract?
I know contracts mean nothing but more money if the player is sold etc but it does seem odd.
Not saying we'll get him but just a thought.

Well this has a similar feel to the kaka saga,the italians love nothing more than stringing interested parties along with no real intention of selling,all done for publicity and to make them feel good about themselves,what a bunch of cnuts...... Of course not any that are at city....
