This deal is off and IMO has never been on. Half the people on here would say its still alive even after he comes out tomorrow n says I'm staying. Typical response likely to be "oh come on as if he was going to say he was leaving to his home crowd at his standard press conference as individuals have at the start of every season that he was leaving. DDR is idolised in Rome so why burn bridges with your fans. If he stays, they think he never wanted to leave anyway, but if city and Roma do a deal he can say it was because the club he loves couldn't refuse such a bid. This making him a legend either way. It's very much still on and I wont believe otherwise until the window slams shut"

Right I'm reading this thread from page 23 I've got to here and this post.

I know it's getting pretty late but if I'm reading the above correct the deal is off and as never been on but it's still very much on until the window shuts.

Now because this place is full to the brim of smart sarcastic fuckers the above post is going to get the full works and Matt d is going to feel a right plank, plase everyone don't let me down.

I shall continue on see what transpires

Bet he doesn't even mention us unless asked and then it'll be brushed off.

I bet we were never even seriously interested.

I think unless the price was very low then we'd have no intention of signing a 29 year old. RVP was of interest because there was a chance of a good deal - but once the price rose we gave up. Same with Hazzard I think.

I think we are only interested in value for money going forward. I don't think it has to do with FFFP. I think it's that the Sheik and the execs at the club are embarrassed to see us taken for fools in the market. I doubt they like their "brand" outside of the club to be associated with millions after millions down the drain.

I think Mancini may not like it but Marwood has been told only do the deals that make longterm sense. DDR went way outside the realm a while back and I bet we ended our interest then.

I therefore sort of hope we make no silly money moves in the next 2 weeks. I few signings yes but only the sensible ones ... starting with a CB.

I can see his point, he is one of our most important players and plays nearly every game..

Out of interest how much are Kun and Nasri on ?

Don't mean to be a pessimist but whats going on?

Dzeko could be going to spurs
AJ on his way out
difficulties with Silva's contract
no improvements to the squad
can't shift RSC, Ade etc
you do remember us winning the league though?

Still has two years left. We might lose Tevez before then, which would free up the cash to give him that raise. Who knows? He hasn't requested a transfer, so need for hand wringing just yet.
