Was just reading some stats about De Rossi this season that back up just what a fantastic player he is. 440 successful "defensive passes", 659 successful "attacking" passes (ahead of players like Pirlo and Cambiasso), 1099/1256 successful passes (87.5%) the highest in the Roma squad ahead of Totti and Pjanic. 69 successful tackles ahead of renowned defenders Thiago Silva and Chiellini, and behind only Lucio in the entire Serie A and De Rossi isn't even a defender. They call him the ultimate playmaker of Rome, he'd fit like a jigsaw piece into our side. All that said, it is seeming very unlikely we will get him. :(

This is rather interesting that it seems to be dragging on whilst the Tevez situation is.

Surely, if the two were unrelated he'd have signed a contract by now.

We really would have no excuse for not winning the league should he sign quite frankly. Alas like many others I think if this were to happen, given the absence of Yaya etc, this would have happened sooner rather than later. We're getting a bit late in the day now.
