Yep got to agree..........the moment has passed. He loves Roma more than us...................Booooo.

ah well would have been nice

Patience is a virtue, end of January is a way off.......he will arrive.

Roma wasn't left in a day.

Saw what ya did there!. I'm not at all optimistic he'll join us - but its difficult to understand - if he loves Roma so much why he hasn't just signed a contract.

old news.

agreed.

thats from last week..

its funny how fast people are too shoot down a comment or an article.

First its not Goal.com that comes with the report, its taken from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Second you might wanna read the article BEFORE you reply. Gazzetta printed it out this morning, and this article was the written at Jan 16, 2012 11:45:00 AM.

If you dont have anything constructive too add thread, then dont reply at all.

There is nothing new in the report you quoted is my point so you might want to read the thread to determine whether your post is original or adds to the wealth of knowledge about the transfer or whether what you intended to post is in fact re-hashed old information, BEFORE you post it....

And its to not too

Mirror snippet for what it's worth:

As Tevez's exit inches nearer, the Blues are unlikely to make any signings this month, now that midfield target Daniele De Rossi poised to sign a new deal with Roma.

De Rossi was City boss Roberto Mancini's top transfer target, with City willing to hand the Italy international a mega deal worth £160,000-a-week.

But the 28-year-old, a World Cup winner with Italy, has decided to pledge his long-term future to his hometown club.

De Rossi is in the final six months of his current contract at Roma and talks about a new deal had broken down, which put City on alert.

Yet fresh negotiations between Roma director Franco Baldini and De Rossi's agent Sergio Berti have resulted in the player agreeing a five-year-deal worth around £100,000-a-week.

It's difficult to escape the Tevez saga, though Jeremy Cross does his level best in the Star with an intriguing suggestion that a Daniele de Rossi deal might be resurrected.

"De Rossi is concerned Roma might not secure Champions League football. And failure to do so could allow Roberto Mancini to renew his interest in the World Cup winner in the summer."

From City OS today. This is even if he pens a new deal.

I'm pretty sure if DDR signs an extension with Roam, a clause would be inserted in the contract allowing him to leave in the summer without too much of a fuzz, financial or bureaucratic.

I'm also sure Mancini will be equally interested n Daniele in the summer as he is now.

Yes, BUT, currently he is 28 and available for peanuts although with a large salary. In summer, with a new contract, we'd be quoted £30m+ AND a large salary for a 29 year old midfielder. subtle difference.

He's out of the usual city profile even now with his age as we tend to buy 21-24 year olds (mostly) but I suspect the chance of a great midfielder on virtually a free is what is getting our interest.

If he signs a new contract and they want £30m then I think he's (we've) missed the boat. The only potential way i see us going back in for him is if he gets that rumoured low cost buy-out clause in his contract if they fail to qualify for the CL.

guessing is an art and he has lost his pencil
TBF Tolmie said the DDR deal relied on us selling Tevez first and we've still not done that yet.

By all accounts it also includes a £20M Buy Out clause, but seeing that it comes from the Star ..well.
