Great just going to ring the tattooist for tomorrow!

Ah, Nick the Voice of Treason, what a twat. I see he's still spouting his bile on the MuEN like back in the day, though I pray he's right on this one.

Quote from Mancini from Football Italia site “De Rossi is a champion and he would be the perfect man to improve City. If we pick up the right signals, it is worth trying to sign him.”

Looks a lot more likely by the day I reckon! Other snippits on Tevez too...

“Tevez is a champion that may allow Milan to take the leap. He is a striker who makes a difference. Milan, however, know what the conditions are - you do not just give away a striker like Tevez.”

Ha, if this is true, then I called it! (Well we were already linked to him so I guess it doesn't count) :D Of course he's not going to stay with Roma, he would have 100% signed by tomorrow (he still can ;), but he won't.)

He's doing exactly what Mexes did, except Roma will actually get some money this time.

Call me all the names you want, but I've been confident since several weeks ago, that yes, De Rossi will play for us. His biggest admirer is our manager, who else would he play for? Certainly not Roma...

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I really don't think I will be :/ .

Edit: It just seemed eerily obvious to me. I don't know why. I think the Mancini quotes saying that oooooh "he's a roman, he won't move" etc were to plant a little seed in De Rossi's head. You know that feeling when someone says you can't or won't do something? People also don't like to be stereotyped. Those Mancini quotes have some sort of reverse psychological effect in the subconscious. I don't know the science behind it but I'm convinced! :P

I've had a sneaky feeling we'll sign De Rossi for a long time too. It is just such a perfect fit for us. One of my favourites too, so would be delighted with him joining us.

My only worry is that we delay while Milan faff about with Tevez as there is no doubt that Fergie will go all out for him if he gets a sniff at that price, and that would be, IMO, disastrous for our chances of winning the league this year.

We cannot allow them to get their hands on the likes of Danielle De Rossi.

With the relatively low fee that'll be paid to Roma due to his contract situation, De Rossi will want huge wages that the Rags wouldn't/couldn't pay. Quite possibly even as much as £200k. Him to United is a non-starter.

Hope you're right, but they ditched their wage structure for Rooney?

I'd imagine he would prefer to play for Mancini, and for Man City though - just hoping we move quickly.

Doubt Fergie would want to get into a potential fight with us though. Knows he will most likely lose. As he did with Nasri.

I don't think the rags ditched there pay structure where shrek was concerned, I think sponsorship came into play to enable Sky United to keep him happy.
