so this 'Roma through and through, gladiator type guy would really sign a pre-contract and leave his beloved club with absolutely fuck all? After all of his philosophical quote bollocks this January?

It's over. He'll either sign a new contract and stay or sign a new contract and go elsewhere but the price would be 25-30 mil.
 
So is De Rossi out of contract now or in Summer? How does it work now with us trying to get De Rossi ?

Technically out of contract in the summer, but we can begin negotiations now to take him in on a Bosman in the summer.

It may be the Star but its unlikely to be Bollocks. our manager wants De Rossi and he is free to talk to whoever he wants without permission from Roma. Even if he choses someone else or signs a new deal you can guarantee we are talking to him.
 
I think he will a City player come the start of Summer, 160k a week!! He wont get that anywhere else and due to his age it will be his last chance of a big contract etc..

With all due respect to Roma as well, he has more chance of winning big time trophies at City.

I think with all signings this Summer, Mancini will want all of them done before he Euros. Silva, Balotelli and Toure didnt get a pre season after the World Cup so i would of though Roberto wants them integrated into the team asap!

And kiss off a big signing on fee? His loyalty should first be to his family not his football club.
 
... Is it at all possible we took Pizzarro on loan in exhange for keeping our hands of de Rossi until we can negotiate a longterm deal with his agent?

the lad and his family would be quite rich whether he was leaving on a Bosman or not, no?

Football Italia have confirmed they've agreed a new contract, not said for how long or whether there are any clauses yet though
