Worst case he signs a pre contract with us and he gets a nice phat wage and Roma get zero.or Roma accept 6 mil ish and de Rossi gets a nice wage.

He would never f**k Roma, his father Alberto also played for the club and are now manager for their youth team "Primavera della Roma", so he for sure has Roma DNA and if he would leave I'm sure that he wants the club to get good transfer fee.

In that event all he would need to do is hand a request in now.
Same way swp did for us when Chelsea bought him.
No need to get messy with new contracts etc,all he needs do is request one and Roma get 100% of the fee.
We won't pay over the odds anymore so it's a dangerous ploy if they tried it

If he want's Roma to get a good fee can't see us signing him. He is 28-years old without re-sale value when his 4-5 year contract would end. And would still cost like 20m + high wages if he renews.
In Mancini's recent interviews he hasn't sounded that confident about getting Rossi but has still said "that maybe they can do some business" in this window. So let's hope he has other options aswell. Like Javi Martinez. :D

Fuck off with resale values, you don't buy a player to specifically sell him on for profit, you buy him to get the best out of him, especially those at De Rossi's age.

I actually do and there's two reasons:
1.if he loves Roma so much I imagine he'd have dealt with it by now and signed.sounds to me like this contracts hurt him.
2.in Mancini we trust.
