De Rossi

An out-of-form De Rossi is at least equal to than an in-form Barry. I really rate Barry by the way and I'm not trying to slag him.

Barry, YaYa, Jimmy and Daniele would be a fantastic defensive/central midfield-four to go with our offensive midfielders.

He had a bad injury but is forcing his way into their team now, started the last two. Helps him that Villa is injured.

I feel that this translation is more promising in our favour than the one I found last night.

De Rossi: 'You'll know when...'
By Football Italia staff

Daniele De Rossi is tired of answering questions about his Roma contract renewal. “At the right moment you’ll know everything. I don’t like soap operas.”

The Giallorossi have been locked in negotiations with the midfielder and his agent for many months and his current deal expires in June, so he could leave as a free agent in the summer.

“We are working on it and when we’ve finished then we’ll make it public,” commented De Rossi after last night’s match with Catania was rained off.

“Months ago I said that I’d be the first to come here in front of the cameras and explain my decision, as I owe that to the fans. I don’t like soap operas and this is turning into one.

“Rest assured that at the right moment you’ll know everything.”

De Rossi scored in the Catania game to equalise and the result was 1-1 when the pitch became waterlogged.

“It turned out to be an important goal, because after that the pitch started to get worse. The conditions did not suit Roma or Catania, as we are both very technical teams.”

I'm trying not to get too excited as I'm desperate for him to come!! If it was close though why would he still be playing for Roma?
