I feel that this translation is more promising in our favour than the one I found last night.

De Rossi: 'You'll know when...'
By Football Italia staff

Daniele De Rossi is tired of answering questions about his Roma contract renewal. “At the right moment you’ll know everything. I don’t like soap operas.”

The Giallorossi have been locked in negotiations with the midfielder and his agent for many months and his current deal expires in June, so he could leave as a free agent in the summer.

“We are working on it and when we’ve finished then we’ll make it public,” commented De Rossi after last night’s match with Catania was rained off.

“Months ago I said that I’d be the first to come here in front of the cameras and explain my decision, as I owe that to the fans. I don’t like soap operas and this is turning into one.

“Rest assured that at the right moment you’ll know everything.”

De Rossi scored in the Catania game to equalise and the result was 1-1 when the pitch became waterlogged.

“It turned out to be an important goal, because after that the pitch started to get worse. The conditions did not suit Roma or Catania, as we are both very technical teams.”
I'm trying not to get too excited as I'm desperate for him to come!! If it was close though why would he still be playing for Roma?

It potentially all hinges on the Tevez deal going through. When the Tevez move is concluded it will be followed by De Rossi coming to us.

Just an inkling that that's what he's waiting to announce.

How long is he expected to wait though bud? City have had months to sort a deal out for tevez!!!!

I don't understand why it should rely on the Tevez deal, Tevez will be gone this window or next, as will Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Bridge, Onuoha, and others - all will be gone in the next two windows I reckon. Our wage bill will be a lot smaller this time next year I'd wager, a lot of decently paid youth products who are not going to make it are or will be sold too.

I totally agree Tevez and slimeball Kia would love to mess up our season, and we are basically relying on their early agreement to get a world class player.
I'm sure we arent applying for a bank loan!

The two issues should be independent. Tevez is not included in FFP.

That's what doesn't make sense!!! We're obviously going to shift tevez soon enough but why jeopardise the de Rossi deal??

i dont think it will depend on the tevez deal i think they are making these statements to show that they are serious about the FFP.
