Dead easy and tasty recipes

Here's my contribution to City Chefs at Work.
When making a Sunday roast, do a load of greens in one pan. It works and saves washing up.
Put about half an inch of water into a big pan.
Add a selection of any greens you like. I use Pak Choi, Spring greens, sprouts (the wife likes them!), asparagus, peas, French beans etc.
Put a big job of butter on top.
Add salt and herbs and spices if you like.
Put lid on and cook at high flame, for about 6/7 minutes
Greens will steam. Beautiful and if you just do roasties, you need only gravy. Full dinner, less washing up.

Fooking delicous pal. Give it a good 3 hours or better still over night. You can use brandy if you like or bourbon.
Thanks mate. A simple soy and honey marinade is good for the barbi.

I can't remember the name of the tandoori powder i use from ASM in Ashton. Other brands are ok but the one I can't remember is particularly good. All it is the Tandoori powder, full fat natural yoghurt and a lemon. Diced chicken marinated overnight in fridge, then onto skewers with sliced mixed peppers onions tomatoes and courgette. I brush a light oil over veg to stop them charring to much.

Marmite spaghetti - Love it, or hate it.

Cook the spaghetti as per the packet instructions. Drain, but leave a little of the starchy liquid in the pan; a couple or three of tablespoons should do it.

Add a knob of butter, and a small dollop of Marmite, and stir.

Add chopped parsley (optional), and freshly grated parmesan cheese to taste.

Serve with a big wedge of garlic bread.

Easy peasy - 20 minutes, packet to plate.

Thought you were taking the piss with this one but as I love pasta and marmite I googled it and it’s actually got the seal of approval from Nigella . Have just got the thumbs down from the family to try it for dinner though...

Bang in oven on low and go to pub for a couple of hours.
Check and top up with gravy if needed.
Eat with roast spuds.

Ok here's one very easy ,
1 slow cooker, place in braising steak , cover with Oxtail soup.
Go to work come back home and have with mash pots .

If you fancy homemade chips, but can't be arsed fannying around, whack a couple of unpeeled spuds in the microwave and cook till they're just done. Then cut into scallops about 5mm thick, and then fry in a few tablespoons of olive oil with a sprinkle of salt and black pepper. Homemade chips (scallops) in less than 20 minutes with no mess.

I'm waiting for the one who says boil water open lid, pour in water to level, wait 2 mins, stir again, wait a bit longer, stir in sauce get a fork and eat.

Magic’s Magic Baked Spuds.

Microwave you spuds 10 minutes.

Leave to cool. Cut them in half and scoop out the potato into a bowl.

Add a spoonful of mayonnaise, a spoonful of creme cheese, a good helping of grated Parmesan, salt and pepper. Mix it all up and spoon back into the skins. Cut up slices s of chorizo and press them in to the potato a few centimetres apart. Cut strips of strong cheddar to place in the gaps of the chorizo. Black pepper, dried garlic, or sliced, on the cheddar and a sprinkling of dried basil all over the top

Put back in oven for 25mns

Knock out all your family, then eat them all yourself.
