Dead easy and tasty recipes

I realise it's sacrilege, but I prefer Batchelor's to Heinz (not keen on Branston). What about you; is there an American brand we're missing out on over this side of the pond?
I'm with you, I buy Batchelors from Amazon. The yank ones are only ok if you change them. I'll use them for bbq beans, crisp of some bacon pieces, sweat off chopped onions, add some mustard and ketcup, splasf of tobasco
 
All this talk of food has made me hungry.
I have a big piece of steak (eye of round) and I want to make braised steak and onions in gravy.
I plan on making a pie out of at least some of it.
Any suggestions how to do this? I'm pretty sure that @BlueMoonRisin’ gave me a recipe a while back but I don't remember it.

Cut into cubes, add onions pepper and make abo a pint of gravy usi bovril and corn starch or flour to thicke. Bung it nn the oven in a casserole dish on about 180 a couple of hours and hey presto.
