Bayern Munich are currently having doubts and even considering to pull out of the deal to sign Leroy Sané. With the transfer window in Germany open until September 2nd, a move could still go through. [@SPORTBILD via @iMiaSanMia]

Papers are still desperate
I don't giving a flying about the German rags, what's clear from tonight is Leroy is a City player and he has the love and support of both his team mates and fans and hopefully can make a swift recovery and do what he does best in contributing to the success of our team.

Bayern have a dilemma now. Do they show good faith and keep up their pursuit or back off and ahow what twats they really are.

Personally I’d think they were nuts if they did. Why would they sign someone without knowing if they will recover from an injury? I’d think we were mad to do that if the boot was on the other foot.

What no-one knows is if we were never going to sell him this summer under any circumstances or if we were prepared to if the money was right.

If it was the latter then playing him on Sunday was a needless gamble as having him as an unused sub wouldn't have weakened our negotiating position one iota. Potentially losing tens of millions isn't great business at any time.

Not sure he would be ours for good?

It's been a one-way street for 18 months now, in terms of us showing just how much we value him in terms of a mega new deal.

It's been systematically run down by Leroy and his family.

Bayern knew when Robben and Ribery would be finishing and this has long been orchestrated.

If Bayern were still to offer us only the thick end of £100m, I would snap their hands off.

An ACL injury will almost certainly impact his game.
Run down? He has two years left.

If I was Leroy I’d have done the same thing and tried to get a good run of games under my belt this season and have a stronger negotiating position.

As much as I want Sane to fully recover I think we should withdraw our contract offer until he's fully fit and playing again. He may not recover from this and be constantly plagued with injury like Mendy and Mangala. At the end of the day we are a business, not a benevolent fund. If Leroy signs now and doesn't recover from this he may end up on a mega contract with no resale value. If Bayern Munich still want to do business I'd be tempted to sell now providing they offer what they wanted to pay before this happened.
