If you're (let's say) one of the best steeplejacks in the country and you were approached by the boss of a rival firm with a better offer to work for him, and when your boss finds out, he then makes you an offer you can't refuse to stay working for him. But since then you've fallen off a ladder and broke your leg. Will your boss still offer more money when you're off on the sick on full pay with a broken leg? You may never regain fitness to do the job you did before breaking your leg. You may not even climb again. This analogy is hypothetical of course, but in Leroy's case, he's on a reputed 60-65k per week whilst being injured. Not bad is it?

I think the club will wait and see how his injury transpires to full recovery before offering a lucrative long term contract.

Something for maybe Leroy to think upon....

We showed faith in Ilky by signing him while he was injured if i remember correctly......Munich have dumped you while you are.....maybe its worth a quick think who will value you more!

I have no doubt that some of this is being driven by his family (mother who is his agent) but he is a grown man and needs to think that its not all about money...Go to Munich, win a one horse race every year and cups and you will be the poster boy for national team. The German national team is very insular ....it prides itself in having the majority of its players playing in its own league - I have no doubt that it was is also driving the German media and the large amount of ex german pro's telling sane to move to BM....however stay here and become a legend all around the world in what is the most competative league in the world and b considered a true great of the world game.

If he was to go would he be any closer to winning the champs league - a few years ago you would have said yes...but now its a no.....

Good luck for a speedy recovery, Leroy. And if you want something to do during your hours of sports rehab, sign that new contract, eh? There’s a good lad!

I'm assuming he will expect to be back as normal, because that's how I would think.

If Bayern suddenly stop tapping him up, that might sway him to thinking he'd best sign, as they are not so keen as they said. However, if I was in their position I'd tap him up even more.
Very rarely after an ACL injury is a player back to normal. He might be ok for pace if he can fully extend and stability might be back to 95% plus but never 100% but the main issue will be confidence . Every time he jumps, turns, reacts instinctively there'll be a doubt and that will cost him. Sad because i like him as a player. If he had pushed the issue perhaps and not played the clubs off against each other, ( In my opinion his team drew it out to bump up his conditions) he would have been in Germany right now, having been rested for the Community Shield.

Coming out in the media talking about a player possibly signing is not tapping up. It’s crass and disrespectful but it’s not tapping up.

Trust you to miss the point. For sake of clarity, I was referring to the many good wishes Sane had received from his multi-national team mates compared with the glaring absence of any from his German “friends” who expressed a wish to have him at Bayern.
Hope that doesn’t upset you again

In due course we'll no doubt see some sycophantic and utterly empty gestures from the Bavarian giants as well.
They rarely miss an opportunity to disgrace themselves.

I'm no doctor but i guess all the get well soon posts from City players means this is more than 2-4 months out? are we looking full season?
