I think he has already made his.mind up. He will try and string us along. As you say so he can go on a free in 2021Bayern have probably told him they'll give him an extra €20m as a signing bonus if he leaves for free in 2021.
He needs to sign a new contract or get sold this year. And make his fucking mind up. He's been pissing both clubs about for 18 months now.

The main reason Sane wants to move is to go back to Germany. There would be absolutely no point in him going to another English club. Sam’s being mischievous, to put it nicely, by bringing English teams into it.
Ok, maybe 18 months then, but not signing a contract isn't fucking someone about is it. the club have likewise had 18 months to improve whatever terms were on offer, does that mean they were fucking him about? inertia isn't fuckery.
There is absolutely zero evidence that he has been 'talking to bayern seeking a transfer'. none whatsoever, in fact, pep has said otherwise. couldn't give a fallen bawhair whether bayern were amazed he played for us in a cup game, he's our player, showed no signs of wanting to leave, they showed no signs of bidding to our valuation. certainly doesnt mean any deal was on the verge of being done.
finally, he didn't 'hurt himself', what a daft thing to say. And he has the right to choose his doctor. seems he chose well. he attended a few of our games during his recovery. you are glearly looking for things that arent there.

Bayern fucked over their entire transfer window and have probably lost the Bundesliga because they were waiting for him to decide he was leaving and ask for a transfer all summer.
Pep constantly had to tell the media the player hadn't asked to leave, and yet everyone knows he was talking to Bayern and seeking a transfer, never best summed up by the fact Bayern were amazed he was playing in the Community Shield on the verge of a €150m transfer.
When he hurt himself, he ignored Pep's advice to go to City's surgeon and instead went to Bayern's surgeon.
He's spent the entire time he's been off injured with his people telling the press he's still going to Bayern, and now he's back training he's suddenly not sure.
It's time he just made a decision.
