If the fee is as low as they keep saying I’d be ringing other clubs you’re not telling me Madrid won’t bid £70 million for him and maybe more wages and off load Bale. Bayern are cheeky twats I’d play them at their own game

He wouldn’t go

I usually dont mind when players decide to leave - I was gutted about SWP when he let but understood, gutted when Vinne did last year but completely respected it and so on and so on

However. - this leaves a really bad taste in the mouth for a number of reasons

1. B.Munich's behaviour - through the media who ahev completely encouraged it, they have repeatedly and publically tapped him up - and what is worse no one will challenge them on it and they will be allowed to get away with it again and again.

2. Sane himself - Ive never been convinced of his conviction towards us and this proves it - he will come up with the usual shit about prospects of playing for Germany, playing for is boyhood team, playing in his homeland etc etc ad nauseum and some of them might even be true hower the one that most (including Sane) will ignore is that he doesnt have the bollocks to fight for his place in the team. HIs ego (and anyone who has a tattoo of themselves on their skin is all about ego) cannot stand to be challenged by Pep wanting more from him -he couldnt take the bollockings he got from the sidelines when he failed to track back all the time and the subsequent place on the bench -he couldnt take being dropped!

3 Its hugely about the money as well - he will vastly improve his wages. - will any media mention this? - i doubt it -if it was the other way around it would be the leading headline.

If we draw them next year int he champs league i cant wait for him to come up against Kyle Walker - one of very few defenders who could cope with his pace and one who I have no doubt will want to kick him into row z in the first few minutes.

If Bayern weren't so well in with UEFA, I am pretty sure that they would have been sanctioned for their blatant tapping up of the player . But Sane, I believe, has been totally compliant with them and as such has totally disrespected the management and the club .

I believe you are spot on about his attitude and demeanour towards being challenged by Pep to produce more or be more committed, and that is a large part of the issue. Sane clearly believes that he is beyond criticism and hence the sullen attitude and sulky behaviour.

Great player when motivated, but clearly not one who willing to buy into Pep's requirements.

While Sane may have been complaint in this tapping up from Bayern. There is one thing for sure there is no way that he will be able to command the same wage plus bonuses that he is on at City with that what he will get from Bayern. His wage over the year will be a lot less.

Manchester City will allow Leroy Sane to run down his contract if Bayern Munich fail to match the club’s valuation this summer. City maintain they will not be bullied into selling the 24-year-old after reports suggested Bayern were ready to launch a £35M bid. [

Bayern Munich's £35M valuation of Leroy Sane has been laughed off by Manchester City sources, who insist Pep Guardiola is happy to include Sane in his squad for next season despite unease over the player’s future. A contract extension remains on the table. [

It is accepted that Manchester City would not be able to command the £100m they were looking for Leroy Sané last summer, but would still require a significant offer. City are relaxed about the situation and are happy to keep Sane next season if no deal is agreed. [

Manchester City would prefer to see Leroy Sané leave for free next year than sell to Bayern this summer. City see Bayern's bid as a ‘new offence’, whose ‘constant attacks’ and public interest have ‘broken the relationship’ with the club. [

Sell him and get the best price possible but go there saying unless you pay min £60m we will simply keep him on the payroll and play him until his contract runs out

Good, let's call the German Rags bluff. Fuck em

Guys, guys, we're not letting him run down his contract. Pep is the last manager in the world who is going to play someone with one foot out the door. He goes to the highest bidder this summer (and someone will bid the 50m or whatever it'll take).

Manchester City do not need the money as their finances have not been hit hard by COVID-19 following the $500M Silver Lake investment in December. 'The box is full’ meaning they do not need to offer a discount on Sané and give Bayern a discount. [
