We should just state £120m minimum and that we have had offers from other big clubs. We shouldn't be taking less than that for a player of his age and calibre with 2 full seasons left.

Not sure what he wants to do but if he does want to move on he shouldn't expect the club not to want the best fee, if that means a club other than Bayern then so be it. He's a far better player for having worked with City's coaching staff and playing in the PL, so Sané will have to understand, City don't owe him the move if it means they get shafted. If they can't afford him they don't get him. It's simple as that, we don't even like Bayern, so they shouldn't expect any favours.

Rated at £90m by who? He's worth more than Dembelé was when he left BVB for obvious reasons. Call me cynical but I suspect they are trying help Bayerns efforts to drive his price down. Can't have City being the net spend champions.

PR is still an area we need to work on. Liverpool, Spurs or even Chelsea(3 clubs who do very well from player sales) would have given their valuations publicly by now and mocked their offer and this £90m valuation, then finished up by stating he is not for sale.

It’s then 2 years remaining that’s the issue. On pure ability/potential, he’s easily a £150mil player.

This saga is getting annoying. He's a great young player, I think he can become one of the best in the world in another year or two, but if he really wants to go then he should go, why should we sell him at 90 million? Real paid 100 million on Hazard with one year contract and he is 28/29. Sane is worth at least 120. If they will pay the money I'm sure we'll find a new exciting young player just as good

But it's two full seasons, he's worth way more than £90m to buy him out of a contract that long. That figure is more acceptable for a 1 year contract(but as the above poster says, Hazard to Madrid might suggest otherwise even there) with a player as highly rated as Sané with so many years ahead of him.

Also Bayern have very few options out there, even the commentary from their game last night was stating how urgent they are to replace Robben and Ribbery. They can't afford to wait 2years. Most of their other options are off the table. We should be stating what he's worth immediately and that we aren't looking to sell... £120m is quite reasonable in this market I thought. As I said look at the fees Chelsea got for players surplus to requirements in recent years, never mind a player as good as Sané who we want to keep. We are way way behind in this area and it needs to change. It's more about our lack of nous in the way things work, we might not be looking to sell at all but we should be protecting ourselves by making sure if he does go we get the highest fee possible by making the right statements.

The contract we signed him on appears to have been smartly done at least, we just aren't making a point of how strong our position is publicly for some reason.

I think the whole situation is boring now, I love Leroy and he is a quality player, but if he wants out then so be be it, we got along nicely before him, and will get along nicely after him if he decides to leave, so if he wants out sell him, 90 million now is better than nothing in 2 years for a player who does not want to be at the club

Maybe rated by transfermarkt.co.uk, Dembele and Sané on £90m, Neymar on 162m, Mbappe on 180m.

BVB was lucky Barca sold Neymar for 200m back then, 2017 was special.

And Chelsea just sold Hazard for 90m to Real. Chelsea didn't say not for sale, because Hazard wanted to join Real.
