If he’s says nothing to anyone but still hasn’t signed a contract extension by (say) 1Jan 20 refer to above.

City have got to remain in control however un popular the outcome may be to some.

This should always be the case in a business irrespective of the shameful & shameless actions of Munchen.

A reminder that PSG bought Mbappé 180 M€ or 161 M£ when he was not the superstar he is today. Was not the posterboy of French national team who won the World Cup. Was not the best goalscorer of his club and the league. Was not voted best player of the year. Didn't have the marketing pull he has today and from which his club is benefitting (just recently he became the model of japanese fashion brand Bulk and Bulk became a regional sponsor of PSG as well).

I think you are very far from the fee PSG would be asking for Mbappé, should they sell him.

Must be worth at least 250M, and even at that a bargain, 3 years under Pep and what would he be worth 500m?

Also Bayern have very few options out there, even the commentary from their game last night was stating how urgent they are to replace Robben and Ribbery. They can't afford to wait 2years. Most of their other options are off the table. We should be stating what he's worth immediately and that we aren't looking to sell... £120m is quite reasonable in this market I thought. As I said look at the fees Chelsea got for players surplus to requirements in recent years, never mind a player as good as Sané who we want to keep. We are way way behind in this area and it needs to change. It's more about our lack of nous in the way things work, we might not be looking to sell at all but we should be protecting ourselves by making sure if he does go we get the highest fee possible by making the right statements.

The contract we signed him on appears to have been smartly done at least, we just aren't making a point of how strong our position is publicly for some reason.

True but it seems Bayern’s the only club he wants, maybe it’s because he’s German, maybe because they’re the only one who can afford him now it’s towards the end of the window. We should have nipped this in the bud and started bidding for Kimmich and others to shut them up.
 
Reports suggest his family are playing hardball over the contract. Is it likely that Bayern will pay him more than City?
