The irony is that Sane would probably have started most games this season and been first choice ..... That's football, I love the guy and sincerely hope he stays .... If not we have to let him go and move on, there isn't a single player on the planet we can't win trophies without ... It's about City, the club we love, the rest is an added bonus
.....

Good summation (though his father is Senegalese). We're getting all wrapped around the axle here because we haven't really lost anyone we wanted to keep since the takeover, but sometimes players just want to move, it happens. It really isn't that big of a deal. We'll sell him and sign someone else.
He won't be getting any death threats either, he's lucky he's a Blue and not a bin abuser...!!!!

Well, his contract expires next summer and he hasn’t renewed. So they’re in the same position as we are in with Leroy.

Why don't we negotiate with Alaba then behind bayerns back, that's what they did with sane

Probably because we don't want to operate in a similar fashion, and because if we did Bayern would no doubt report us to UEFA , who would in turn be only too happy to charge us with " tapping up " .

Different rules appear to operate for certain clubs in the UEFA cartel club.

Let him go. He wants to leave so let him go. He never said anything bad about us. And tbh I would do the same if I was him.

Not a chance any player worth their salt signs a 5+1, the 'optional year' contracts are for players who are crap but the clubs keep them around. Why on earth would someone like Bernardo give the ability to the club to trigger a non negotiable extra year to his contract.

Pogba signed a 5+1 team option when he moved to United.

is it true whats being reported in the "DAILY STAR", that Leroy will need to accept a 30% pay reduction to sign for Bayern, but would still earn more after tax, which i'm not sure would be correct as looking at the German tax rates would be the same as here at 45%

Every club "taps" players up.

That doesn't excuse the fact that Bayern is a cesspool of corruption and underhand dealings.

Cúnts too.

obviously Uli Hoeneß is doing his tax returns .... ; )

If Leroy somehow doesn't end up at Bayern this summer or next even though they still wanted him then he won't be playing for the national team anytime soon. It's what happens when you make a deal with the devil.
