Any link between our FFP ban (and bayerns rumoured involvement from the hacking and/or pressure internally at uefa) and their pursuit of sane? Did they hope a potential ban (last summer) and then a 2 year ban (this summer) handed out would encourage sane to leave

However I would tell Leroy you either give your all to the club, if not you will be banned from the training ground for the whole of season 2020/21 season. Any injuries that Sane picks up he will have to pay for himself to be treated.
Not happening why would we make a £50Mill asset worthless. Even if it did it would probably see us sued for breach of contract. We'll get as much as we can but we will accept a fee and sell him this summer.

Hahaha
We haven't seen the half of this saga. Have we!
And the audacity to talk about Sane every single day. I mean c'mon man

Let's play hardball with Bayern. The choice is either pay what we want, or a player exchange with th player we want, not what you say. Yes you may get him on a free,at the end of season 2020/21 so O.K. with us. However I would tell Leroy you either give your all to the club, if not you will be banned from the training ground for the whole of season 2020/21 season. Management by fear and intimidation may improve short term results but will always guarantee long term failure (e.g. Jose Mourinho).

Good management appreciate, trust and respect good staff, who will appreciate, trust and respect good management. Best of both worlds.

Don't let your anger and frustration towards one single person/club destroy that good management, trust and respect. We're better than that, thankfully City's management understand the benefits.

To both blueparrottand citid1894 so you would rather see Sane go through the motions, and not trying and to risk getting injured, but still be part of the match day squad. This is so he can moved to Bayern injury free, not for me. If Leroy Sane wants to play he has got to put in the hard graft both at the training sessions and on the pitch. Therefore both blueparrot citid1894 if Leroy is not willing to put in the hard graft on the training pitches why should he be let anywhere near the 1st team match day squad.

I wonder if Leroy would try to buy out his final year of his contract in these circumstances ?

No I'd rather do what we will do sell him for the best fee we can get. Besides which nothing Sane has ever done suggest he wouldn't train and play to the best of his ability.
The other stuff is all contractual, legal and probably insurance based when it comes to training and treating any injury so just a thing in your head and has no basis in reality.

But I do not know who translated that twitter message. The correct version is:

“When I think of how we’ve successfully extended Manuel Neuer, we have with Joshua Kimmich, Niklas Süle, and hopefully David Alaba, Thiago, and I hope also Leroy Sané, a young team capable of developing further. I can well imagine, if everything turns out optimally, that a new era at Bayern Munich is beginning.”

The source of it is a BR1 (Bayern radio) interview with him. https://www.br.de/nachrichten/sport...rtitel-und-die-verpflichtung-von-sane,S0UGyRn

The 2 minute interview was about the whole situation of the club and football right now.

It should not really be a surprise anymore that Bayern wants to buy Sane and that the two clubs are in contact with each other about a transfer. And Hoeneß just hopes on the transfer.
Since when was it legitimate to openly court players via the media? Unless of course you happen to be an arrogant member of the arrogant G8. Dippers, English rags, German rags, real and barce are contemptible arrogant clubs, generally supported by contemptible arrogant fans, of which you are a classic example. Of course everyone knows your scummy devious club are after Sane, cos your scummy devious senior officials and ex players have openly stated this in the media. So much so one of your seniors even had to publicly apologise to us, and for a senior member of Europe’s most arrogant club to apologise that says just how fucking bad it was. You have got away for decades with getting players on the cheap because you openly court them in the media while they are under contract elsewhere, get them to run down their contracts and rarely pay a fair price. I fucking despise your club, and to be honest I don’t much like you either. Arrogance has an awful fucking stench

That's you saying that he won't put the hard work in, not Sane.

He had a contract to play football for 5 years, he's fulfilling that contract (4 years) and has given no one any reason to believe he won't continue to fulfil that contract over the remaining year.

If he doesn't put in the hard work, that's his reputation and personal integrity and therefore his problem. At that stage he will not earn the right to be part of the match day squad. You have to work on the basis that nobody wants to do a bad job (e.g. trust). If he does put in the hard work he will have fulfilled his contract and can walk away because he's has earned the right to walk away.

It's all about balance; it's a voluntary agreement between both the club and player (facilitated by agents). Contracts are set at a limited time period to protect both parties; clubs if a player gets injured and can no longer play, players if a club is no longer suited to them. At the end of that voluntary agreement both parties have a right to either extend it or walk away.

until our owners grow a very big pair, we will keep been put down, grow a pair and take them ****s to UEFA saying that they are after our player while he is under contract and putting stuff in papers about him

Mourinho’s record stands up against pretty much anybody’s. Whatever he had he seems to have lost but a few barren years after a decade of success doesn’t constitute long term failure. I wasn’t aware that he managed by fear and intimidation, many ex players of his are almost embarrassingly gushing in their love for him.

But yes we’ve no reason to mistrust or mistreat Leroy at all what with the contribution he’s made to City. If he goes he goes but while he’s here I’ve got every faith in him.

Great post , could not have put it better

Of course no one is surprised - you’ve been illegally tapping him up in public for nearly 2 seasons.
Frankly there’s no excuse & your effort to defend that arrogant club on this forum really pisses me off.

I don’t like any of your posts & I wish you would transfer to Salford- go into the rag cafe instead. You’re not wanted on here

Jesus some people are naive. It matters not what club bigwigs say in interviews. If Bayern want Sane they do exactly what we do when we want someone ie get in touch with their representative and begin the negotiating process.

Off course it matters because everything matters. It shows a lack of respect and an arrogance beyond belief.

So, we'd play hardball with Leroy, rather than Bayern?

Neither is our style, but the latter i'd happily see.

Correct

I'm from an era where we say farewell and thank you for your contribution to our great club....

Good luck wherever you go Leroy....

No death threats, no character assassination, no hard feelings ... We are not dippers ....! Still think he's daft as a brush if he does want to leave though :-)

Assuming, as most on here do, that it’s a done deal then hoeness isn’t displaying arrogance he’s displaying confidence.

If a handful of over sensitive fans feel he’s being disrespectful - big deal, get over yourselves. It doesn’t affect City one bit.
