Just been watching the Premiership Years 1999/2000. We weren't in the top division but Wimbledon, Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday and Watford bloody well were. How embarrassing. Also, the season ended with Leeds finishing in the top three, thereby qualifying for the Chimps League.

How did we tolerate this?

(1996 is up next). Was this the season the Geordies blew a twelve point lead and Nigel Clough scored for a goal for City and KK had his anti-Fergie rant?

No true blue would even ask such a question or make such a statement - if you want glory hunting join the reds. Its all that that makes CTID make sense.
It was why, even at 53yrs of age - I cried at Wembley and at the final whistle V QPR. Enduring all the pain and sticking with my team. Its why I thought I could stand next to any blue in the World and know they are true supporters - until I read this.
Hang your head in shame..................CTID
Don't be too hard on Pam. She does tend to lose the run of herself at times. She means no harm by it!

That season was one of the best seasons to be a city fan. The players fought for fans and the badge. We took huge away crowds to small grounds and who can forget that day at Blackburn?

Nothing embarrassing about it Pam.

any links to watch these online? dont have sky and id like to watch a few of these again. can only get last seasons up and working

I wouldn't Change it for the world! It was an unbelievable experience and one that makes us so unique. It's the times like them that give us a couldn't give a fuck attitude because we are MCFC!

Now that is a bloody good post. I remember thinking when Dicky Mint scored at Wembley that we were privileged, because fans of almost all other clubs would never get to experience such an unbelievably intense high. Not because we'd just staged an outrageous escape in the, then, biggest game in the club's history, but because we'd endured such persistent and embarrassing lows en route to it. I wouldn't want to ever wipe Wycombe Wanderers away from my memory. It's a cliche, but you can't fully appreciate the highs until you've learned to live with the lows

I am 52 years of age and know exactly what you mean.I think Pam is asking how we tolerated it in that she cant believe we did when you look back & I know what she means too.I sometimes do,although I dont regret a minute, its incredible how we fcuked everything up whilst still enjoying fantastic support.

I fecking would, why would you want to be relegated to experience all that pain and suffering.

Because it makes days like last may that much sweeter.

Actually one of my proudest seasons as a Blue and it makes me love where we are now so much.........Anyone complaining about watching a team that has delivered an FA cup, Prem title, a probable runners up spot, possibly another FA cup win , all in three years with players like Kun, Silva, Yaya, Vinny, Tevez needs to give their head a serious shake..............

Exactly. Embrace what we have now. Be greatful that we are in the position we are today. One of my favourite city moments is York away on a fucking freezing Saturday and seeing us get beat. I was with my dad and I fell in love with city. I started to be a serious fan and learning to understand the whole city thing. My first game was 94. I've never looked back since. It's been the best ride of my life.
