Death of Superman (Nic Cage).

Coke is a hell of a drug.

I actually enjoyed his performances in Wild at Heart, Raising Arizona, Red Rock West, Con Air and Face/Off.

As someone who’s read all the books I really couldn’t believe it when I heard.
Me too. Turned a fair haired 6ft 6in man mountain of an avenging angel into a shallow, unconvincing vehicle for a short arse dark haired pretty boy.
I also love the Parker novels by Richard Stark, about a hardcore professional heist artist. The many film adaptations have been either decent or terrible depending on the casting of Parker. Lee Marvin in Point Blank and Robert Duvall in The Outfit were great. Mel Gibson in Payback was OK. Jason Staham in Parker was a laughable, risible fucking disaster

Tim Burton thought so and that's why it very nearly got made
indeed.

I'd have loved to see his version of it because he wouldn't be subservient to the comic book community about it. It would boil their piss but be a better film because of it.
