Decent Bar Staff

Is there a reason why they don't pull 100-200 pints just before half-time. Surely, this has been thought about. I just thought there must be some H&S reason why it isn't done.

Some manners would be nice aswell.
From what I've seen some manners from the fans would be even better.

No doubt some fans would be moaning about their pint being flat!

I think it's because miserable moody twats whinge about their pint not being poured fresh (as if being poured 5 or 10 minutes earlier is gonna make a difference)

Luckily towards the end of last season there was a black lad serving behind the bar in the south stand who was fantastic. They must have sold 10s of pints extra simply because he was competent. Compare this to a girl who was working who literally could not pull a pint. I don't know whether she was slow or had mental problems or what but she should not be working at the bar as she was incapable of doing her job.

I used to work on the kiosk at City.

You could never win when you were working. They'd want say a hot dog but it wasn't ready, so had to wait minutes they complained. Then say we gave them the cold hot dog they complain.

Then someone on here asks for manners!!! When we don't bother giving them anything but stick.

This is abit like how the ticket office is bad but really there not that bad.

The ticket office has been very bad on occasion i once didnt get into a cup match til half time because they'd ran out of blue card. There was hardly anyone in the ground.

I have a feeling theyve improved though, they were very helpful the other day.

lay off the bar staff though, every ground in the country is just as bad. They have to put up with some right idiots sometimes. I hate those tossers that stand behind you and shout their order over your shoulder, like you're standing there for the good of your health.

i dont care who serves me or their manners for that matter , i just dont want to miss any of the match, i know me & my mates could always go without but to us the banter & serious tactical half discussion is best done with a pint , also the price is abit steep.

ah yes, hot dogs. i once queued up all of half time for 2 hot dogs and when i finally reached the counter there were just 2 left. result i thought. paid the money & the assistant went to warm them up. then she disappeared and while she was away another assistant at the other end of the counter sold them to somebody else. so my lad & i were stood there like lemons with the teams out for the 2nd half, no sign of the original assistant and trying to a) get my money back & b) complain about the shit service. nobody believed that i'd already paid for them & was only waiting for them to be warmed up. eventually i got my money back but no hot dogs or apology. that was 3 or 4 years ago & i've never used the stadium catering since.

you must be joking it's a shambles.

Maybe you should watch the game from one of the restaurants if you want to be waited on hand and foot, a football ground is what it is and most of the time it is drunken football fans who just want a quick pint which the bar staff provide to a reasonable standard.

I think when people refer to ' decent' bar staff they are actually having a dig at the nationality of the bar staff which to me is pretty poor, fair enough there might be a bit of a language barrier when ordering a pint but it is soon overcome.
language barrier half of them lot are in a fucking coma.
