Decent shoes

Yes, like them.
Bit of suede protector spray on em and they'll look good and last for ages. The sole and heel are extremely hardwearing and perfect for everyday wear. When you do wear them out they can be re-built and be just like new. The only downside is the heel is a solid block and not a 'top piece' so replacement is more expensive than a standard heel.

Design classic.
I did my apprenticeship working on proper shoes like these. Not unusual to do 20 pairs a day in some areas.
Working at 'Saddlers' in town (Timpsons really but with their 2 best craftsmen) I would go in in the morning and we'd stitch and finish yesterdays work by dinner time.
Punters would all come in in that hour to pick up and drop off. We'd have a little break then bench the work that had come in that day ready for stitching and finishing the next morning.
Our record for sole and heel on welted was 9 minutes.

I like black Sketcher's.
Did you get them from the market, along with Tommy Hilfinger aftershave?
I bought a pair of their golf shoes from my Professional. I found them to be merely OK. Nice and wide, I grant you, but I was expecting them to be a lot more comfortable, from their reputation

Now I'm in my 50s I thought it was time to ditch the Adidas Originals as a constant and smarten myself up a bit. After a really smart pair of shoes to wear with smart dark jeans and a shirt for going to pubs restaurants etc when they're back open that is. That being so got my eye on some Allen Edmonds 'Strands' but at £350 they're a bit on the steep side. Not sure on the sole either. Might need to go for a dainite rubber sole rather than the leather as per the Strands as leather soles are slippy as fuck!
Any ideas shoe fans?
If I owned a pub and you walked in wearing those monstrosities with jeans, I'd chuck you out.
