Prefer classic British made shoes such as Church's myself. And leather soles not rubber.
Wow! Impressive collection. They're on the 'serious consideration' list.Have a look at Lanx. A small shoemaker based near Clitheroe. Cost about £150 a pop and have just released some oxblood brogues.
I have had good experience with Loakes previously. As a pensioner now I mainly be wearing slippers. Now I'm in my 50s I thought it was time to ditch the Adidas Originals as a constant and smarten myself up a bit. After a really smart pair of shoes to wear with smart dark jeans and a shirt for going to pubs restaurants etc when they're back open that is. That being so got my eye on some Allen Edmonds 'Strands' but at £350 they're a bit on the steep side. Not sure on the sole either. Might need to go for a dainite rubber sole rather than the leather as per the Strands as leather soles are slippy as fuck!
Any ideas shoe fans?
Love the oxblood colour. Bought some oxblood dye to apply to my Caterpillar tan boots.I'm still looking for a pair of Ox blood gibsons from the 70s. Seriously...anyone! !
