Dexter is supposed to be superb, but havent had a chance to sit and watch it yet.

I have now seen Season 3 and it is still one of the best series I have seen so far.

Check out 'the wire'. First ever episod is a bit slow but after that its awesome. Didnt want to watch the last ever episode because I didnt want to say goodbye! Also Sleeper Cell is class, pretty dark but quality cliffhangers.
