Because our terms were much better. More up front, probably easier to achieve clauses. What I don't understand is surely we had an idea what West Ham wanted, unless their indication was £100m, in which case £90m is a fair starting point. The one caveat to that is why bid £90m, a figure which Arse had rejected days before?
It's as if we wanted to panic Arse into massively upping their bid, & then telling all involved "It's a bit rich for our blood blud, so we're out!"
Arse fans ain't happy! Can't you tell? A few days ago the place was crawling with em, but they've disappeared up their own arses since we "ended our interest" lickety split! Lol :-)
It’s a strange one. Don’t see where he fits in asI genuinely don't think Havertz is all that? Certainly wouldn't concern me seeing him line up.

Is that the latest position? Doesn't sound like it's as sown up as the media are otherwise reporting.
Christ, we've just won an unprecedented proper treble, we've got the best owners, the best manager ever, a World Superstar upfront and yet getting players seems as difficult as ever. Is it purely money and why don't players appear to walk over hot coals to come here?
Nope. It’s not done yet. If you look past the headlines there’s still some stuff to sort outIs that the latest position? Doesn't sound like it's as sown up as the media are otherwise reporting.
Mate, just like Eni, you're speculating what happened. It doesn't really matter, so try not to get hung up on it..Because our terms were much better. The idea we'd somehow put in fake bids to get Arsenal to bid more is so ridiculous, I'm not sure even Talkshite would claim it. It's not asking a mate to bid a few extra quid on eBay, we're a professional football club, with rules to follow (and an investigation to deal with), we're not going to go round bidding up everyone else's targets for a laugh.
