Declan Rice

It could be the case where the lack of gametime for Kalvin really isn't working for City nor Kalvin himself. Perhaps a new start with him being the main player at West Ham is what he needs now after he's won the league title.

Do a money + Kalvin swap. Clearly, Pep doesn't rate Kalvin, so no point wasting more time for both the club and the player. Declan will make us a better team. Get it done.

There is no way West Ham are going to be negotiated down for players like Kalvin

Strong rumours Arsenal will launch a 92m offer after the Conference final, & if yourselves and United are waffling on about Kalvin Phillips + 50m or Harry Maguire + 60m for Rice, then it will make it all the more easier for us to do a deal, especially given the strong indication Rice has a strong desire to remain in London.

Not only that, West Ham have shown massive interest in Balogun, 21 year with 20 goals in Ligue one, grew up in England but is pledged to the USA. Leipzig are apparently keen on him for around 35m euro. This is the type of players West Ham would want. Plenty upside potential & young. With Phillips and Maguire, there is no resale value. But even still, there is not going to be a swap deal.

The deal West Ham want for Rice will be a 100% cash offer.

True but how does 100m for Rice sound, them West Ham sign Phillips for 50m, job done and everyone's happy!!

In what world is anyone going to pay 50m for Kalvin Phillips?

Barely played the last year, a year older, completely lost his place in the England team, weight & fitness issues according to Pep. You pay 50m for Phillips and its dead money, players as an asset amortize with both their contract length and age, but more so age. Kalvin being 28 next season, on a 4 year deal, by the time he is 3 years into his deal there is no club willing subsidize a good portion of the 50m paid three years earlier. No way would West Ham break their transfer record for Kalvin.

I think there will be many clubs that would take him and for 50m, madness for me but that's football for you.

It’s a big move for Rice and he will want to win trophies. City, United and Liverpool represent the best chance of that. Would be a bad move Arsenal. This season was the best chance to win it. I think you will be back out of top 4 next season.
