Declan Rice

i lived there 2006-2011 and its an absolute shithole populated with feral children kicking off 24/7. Even in ‘nice’ areas you are a stones throw from wandering into an estate where you could get stabbed for fuck all.

saw the aftermath of a tramp being kicked to death by schoolkids in an alleyway off the Holloway Rd and had been on numerous late night buses where it had all gone off.

the centre is a hellhole where you can barely pop to tesco on lunch without having to wade through masses of people and commuting involves literally squashing yourself up against some other yuppie hipster **** (beside the one you’ve turned into yourself) to not speak a word and hope you can save up enough money to buy a small home 30 miles from where you work.

i had to go back a few weeks ago for the first time in 10 years and all the horrors came flooding back. if anything its worse.
Basically sums my thought on the shithole.

It's a shithole.

I just find it very weird if we do get rice because the only way I can see him being in our team is if we put Stones on the right and if we use Rice as a centre back who goes into the 6 pivot with Rodri.

We could go for something like this:
Ederson
Stones Dias Gvaridol
Rice. Rodri
Foden KDB. Alvarez. Grealish
Haaland
Obviously Kev will be out for a while at the start of the season and this is saying the reported outgoings actually do go. I don’t personally rate him but can see why we are interested in him. Plus I just don’t see us putting a £85m plus Phillips bid in for him.

I don’t hate the guy but personally I don’t get why an Arsenal fan would voluntarily register and post at a City fan forum
I don't mind an alternative view occasionally, and normally those that do come over are relatively intelligent and even open-minded.

Lots of City fans do this on other forums. It's a way to engage outside your cocoon. While I don't particularly care for it, I totally get it and have no problem with it.

Good ambassadorship and all.

I think Rodders definitely has the potential to be more offensive. Arriving late as per gundog

It’s the part of Rodri’s game that has continually improved, even apart from his goals - he’d offer even more attacking-wise if he knew he had someone covering at the back.

Certainly possible for Rodri and someone like Rice to play together in the same midfield.

I can’t imagine them not being able to play in the same midfield. With Gvardiol we might give up five goals all year.
